Join the Movement: Cor Mobility
Life, gravity, and being sedentary quickly lead to an existence of basically sitting all day and staring at one screen or another. And technology is constantly evolving to make life even more sedentary. Robots in your house? They’re coming!
As a result, we have lost our ability to do primal movements. Movements as basic as the simple deep squat, crawling, and hanging are not practiced or regularly called upon. Personally, I can’t imagine anyone saying, “I prefer to be stationary, immobile, and stiff”, no matter what age you are. Yet, here we are, whether we intended to be or not. For most, modern living means a minimum of movement, a maximum of soft and easy. And, let’s be honest – most prefer it that way. But there’s a cost.
Why Choose Mobility?
I wholly reject the stiffening effect of modernism; I choose mobility, and I incorporate it wherever and whenever I can in everyday life. I firmly believe that regular movement is not only the foundation of longevity and better overall health, but it will improve your quality of life, extend your health span, and reduce the injuries and infirmities of aging.

Fitness Incentive has been my home away from home for over 20 years! I’ve taken so many different classes that focused on strength and aerobics. Like many guys, I was never one to spend a lot of time stretching, but as the years go by, I’m realizing how tight my muscles and tendons are and how inflexible I have become. I spoke to Cor about it, and she recommended I take her mobility class. The first class was a rude awakening for me, but I knew it was exactly what I needed. I’m seeing the benefits of stretching and being more mobile “one inch at a time”. I have joined the movement, and I even added a second class with Cor during the week. I believe Cor when she says we need this for longevity, but it’s not just about living longer; it’s also about having the quality of life that matters! Come join the movement, guys!

Cor’s mobility class is a judgment-free space where everyone moves at their own pace. I love the calm atmosphere and Cor’s guidance throughout every class. It’s a beautiful feeling to be part of a class that focuses on progress, not perfection.
I love you, Cor!

I’m one speck away from being an octogenarian. I feel like a zillion bucks, not for my age, just feel like a zillion bucks! Who’d have thought I could keep feeling better and better?
Cor’s mobility classes have super-enhanced my life. They’ve improved my flexibility, strength, range of motion…my mobility!
Not for the old, not for the young, not for the middle-aged – Mobility is for everyone! Like any class, you do what you can, modify whenever necessary. Just trying the moves makes you more mobile, and it’s so much fun watching yourself improve with consistency!
And of course, there’s always the laughs!
Check the schedule and try one of Cor’s mobility classes right away. You too will feel like a zillion!

When I began taking Cor’s movement classes, I noticed the more classes I attended, the more I could do. I try to make as many mobility classes as possible so I continue gaining strength and flexibility. I enjoy the heated classes because I feel they enable me to have greater flexibility in the poses. I am grateful for Cor’s motivation, encouragement, and expertise.

Why I take Cor’s mobility class:
1. I’m 66 years old and know it is essential for my body as I age to continue being flexible and strong.
2. It is challenging but not intimidating because Cor is encouraging. She creates an atmosphere that is not competitive.
3. We laugh. That is very important to me. I don’t have to do exactly what Cor does. Sometimes I just can’t. I’m allowed to modify.
4. I love the camaraderie.
5. Finally, we learn. Cor is a wealth of practical information.

Hot Mobility and Mobility classes are great! The classes are not easy, but they are worth the work. Cor challenges me, and all the students in the class. Cor is encouraging and makes it something I look forward to. And I feel stronger after the class than before. Cor made me realize how important it is to challenge my body to make it even stronger. This class is truly strength-building. Also, Cor’s kindness, sense of humor, and sharing information on so many things, such as breathing correctly, eating better, walking after meals to lower glucose levels, fat won’t make you fat, sugar and processed foods will, etc. I glean so much in your class in both my body and mind. Thank You!

What can I say about mobility class except that I consider it a vaccine for what ails you? No matter how I feel when the class begins, I feel 100% better after. It sets me up for the day, and I feel great throughout that day. The way the class strengthens and opens the body is not to be believed until you experience it. It might be a little challenging when you first start, but if you stick with it, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Moving into the new year, I set goals to commit more time to stretching, flexibility, and mobility work, as well as spending more time in warm class formats and in the sauna. At the same time, I’d heard from several of my GroupX students how much they were enjoying Cor’s Mobility class and the challenge it added to their routine. At that point, it felt like a no-brainer to finally sign up for her next Friday morning session, and I haven’t looked back since. The warm room allows for your muscles – that, for me, are just waking up for the day around 5am – to jump-start into action, and maximizes the impact of the class by improving blood flow and flexibility.
My favorite part of the class thus far has been identifying areas of improvement to focus on and seeing that, as with all aspects of fitness, with consistency and dedication to practice, you truly can see changes over time. As I get older and my fitness priorities evolve, I feel fortunate to have a space where I can dedicate time to improving my mobility, which will carry me into future decades strongly. Added bonus: just like any of Cor’s classes, I love that this one offers both challenge and knowledge, but always with a side of laughs.

I’ve been taking Mobility classes at Fitness Incentive for over a year, and it’s a game-changer! The Mobility class is the one class I can’t recommend enough to my friends and family of all ages.
It is truly a class for everyone and is always at your own level. The Mobility class improved my balance, strength, and flexibility, which directly decreased joint pain, lower back pain, and overall aches and pains. I also noticed an overall better weight workout due to having an increase in range of motion. The Mobility class creates strong, healthy bones for longevity and, therefore, a better quality of life!

I wanted to try something new and change up my workout. I started taking Cor mobility on Fridays. To be honest, at first, I didn’t love it, but I realized how much I needed it! The class was challenging, motivating, and humbling! After a few classes, I was hooked and started looking forward to it. I could feel the difference in my flexibility and started taking it twice a week. As a nurse, I understand the importance of maintaining strength and flexibility as we get older. This class is an essential part of my workout that will help me reach this goal. Cor’s passion and knowledge give me both motivation and encouragement! I highly recommend this class. If you say you can’t, then you won’t! Glad I didn’t say “I can’t “.

Four years ago, I had a knee replacement, and another replacement the year after that. Because of stretching and being active prior to the surgery, I was back at the gym 2 weeks later. I took step classes, holding onto the columns in the back of the gym. I did not go to traditional physical therapy. I used mobility and strength classes to get myself to 99% of the flexibility that I had prior to surgery. I was told that after surgery, you won’t be able to kneel or flex your knee like you did before. For me, that is not the case, and I credit it all to mobility classes.

Cor’s Mobility classes (and Nadja’s too) are a game-changer! Because of taking the Mobility classes regularly, I no longer feel stiff and tight upon waking or after a hard workout. What’s amazing is I didn’t know I could feel this way…until after taking the classes. Now, if I miss one of them, boy does my body let me know it. Often, you do not realize you need something until you find it. So glad Cor knew!
