This holiday season we can all make every excuse to not make the time for our training and fail to fuel our bodies with the proper nutrients. It’s easy to get sloppy over the holidays, but much more worth it to maintain that fiery discipline to shape up and do your very best.

You Light Up My Life: TJ and his daughter, Bella

Happy Holidays!  I love saying those words and this wonderful time of year. Please ingrain this next sentence in your mind and don’t ever forget it! Choosing to be happy despite any circumstances or any challenges you face in life is one of the absolute most important decisions you could possibly make. You choose to be happy or not.  It’s a decision you make and one thing you should be mindful of and practice every day. Right alongside that is the choice to take care of your physical body – the only thing you truly own in this life. To do this, you must learn how to train properly. Being in shape, healthy and strong, is a result of the choices we make each and every day. Start by setting clear goals, move forward with consistent action and train with a purpose. This is not easy, but it’s worth it, and so are you!

As I approach my 15th year as a full-time trainer, I remain passionate about teaching people through hands-on learning experiences. Most people believe that they don’t need a trainer, that they can do it on their own. Those same people just don’t know what they just don’t know! Everyone and anyone can benefit from personalized training, no matter their age, experience or gender. There is always more to learn and experience, especially when it comes to your body and your thought processes.

I will make a personal promise to everyone who reads this article and is open to learning – train with me, and you will learn how to do it right! I know first hand from the many mistakes I have made. They helped me learn – the hard way – what works, what you need to know and what is merely nice to know. Together we will focus on how to overcome injury, develop a positive mental attitude (PMA) and connect with your body, taking you to a whole new level of strength and well-being. To any members who are open-minded and would like to improve their overall health, I am offering a free consultation followed by a hands-on training session. You will learn the 5 Basic ‘need-to-know’ movements and a lot of other important information, much of it life-changing.

This is a TEAM effort…

The T is for teach / train – it’s essential that you are trained and not entertained. In this fitness industry, it’s very easy to be misinformed by the latest exercise fad or diet. Amateurs train to get sore and work up a sweat. But when you train,  it’s really about getting results. Stimulate the muscles not annihilate. Teaching a safe and effective training structure that will provide results that will improve every aspect of your health: Mental, physical, spiritual, financial, social and emotional .. yup, every one of those aspects will improve when you learn how to train properly.

E is for education…

specifically on developing an effective training structure for your goals. Learn to get the most out of every rep of every set. Get a deeper understanding of the movements that you need to know. Learn where the most tension is placed on the muscles during the rep and why we would pause, go faster, slower, or do a nonstop rhythmic action. Education about the best way to build an injury-free well-balanced physique through basic bodybuilding movements that have stood the test of time and produce results – guaranteed.

A is for accountability…

an absolute must to stay on the path to your goals! You will be held accountable for making the time to get your training in as well as 100% responsible for what goes into your body. I will teach you how to understand food values, what to eat, when and why. You’ll learn the macronutrient breakdown and timing in all the foods, as well as the importance of hydration. This is not a diet, but more an education on how to be your own nutritionist.

The M is for motivation…

One thing is for certain; you will stay motivated when you’re getting results each and every week. When you’re held accountable and consistent with your training, you’ll form healthy habits and be in a much better mental state. This allows you to be more productive and builds a positive mental attitude (PMA). Why? Results = motivation
