The Glute Lab @FI is actually the idea of Kellie Meigel. Fortunately for Jillian and me, she needed another trainer to assist with the group. Kellie’s inspiration for the lab started with, of all things, a piriformis injury. With the help of physical therapist TJ Golub, she was soon ready to begin training again. During her recovery, she stumbled upon videos of Brett Contreras, Ph.D., CSCS, also known as “The Glute Guy.” She found that the workouts he prescribed assisted her in her not only in her recovery from injury but in her bodybuilding competitions as well. She was immediately hooked. Kellie recognized that Contreras got a better glute response on his clients than she had ever seen before. She was especially impressed by the difference his clients achieved on the competition circuit. In short, she was obsessed. She followed him and his workouts, eventually training with him and attending several of his lectures. She brought everything she learned from him, and more to her Glute focused personal training sessions and eventually to Glute Lab. It’s been a huge success, and I’m excited to be involved in helping Kellie bring this amazing workout to FI.

I’m happy to report, The Glute Gals are scheduled for more Glute Labs: Saturday, September 14th @ 7:30am and Saturday, October 5th – 7:30 AM.
It is a limited enrollment group, so be sure to sign up at the front desk. More will be coming, so keep an eye peeled for announcements.

Glute lab with Kellie and Eileen is amazing! I learned a lot of great exercises and worked my glutes to the max. Kellie and Eileen were hands-on and made sure our form was correct and made sure we got the most out of each exercise. Can’t wait for the next class. Def hooked on working on my glutes.
