Summer Internship – Interior Design Assistant + Social Media
Location: West Islip, Deer Park & NYC | Type: Paid, Part-Time
Start: ASAP | 2–3 Days/Week

Calder Design Group is a boutique interior design studio known for creating jaw-dropping, high-end spaces that blend bohemian soul with luxury sophistication. We’re seeking a hip, stylish, and highly organized summer intern to join our team and work directly with Principal Designer Melanie Calder Russo on active projects in New York and New Jersey.
This isn’t a “coffee-run” kind of internship — it’s a hands-on, immersive experience in the world of luxury interior design, where your eye for aesthetics, sense of style, and social savvy actually matter.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Accompanying Melanie to site visits, client meetings, and installations.
• Emailing vendors to gather quotes, check material availability, and track production timelines.
• Visiting showrooms to source fabrics, finishes, and furnishings.
• Coordinating deliveries and following up on outstanding orders.
• Assisting with social media content creation (Instagram).
• Supporting the design team with day-to-day admin duties.

You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Have an eye for design and a genuine interest in interiors, architecture, or fashion.
• Are organized, proactive, and not afraid to speak up or ask questions.
• Know your way around spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Use Instagram like a pro.
• Bonus points if you know AutoCAD, SketchUp, Canva, or Adobe Suite.
• Even bigger bonus points if you have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle.
