Strong Bones
Here’s a  simple quiz:

• Are you at risk for weak and brittle bones?
• Has your doctor diagnosed you with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis?
• Do you have a family history of Osteoporosis?
• Are you a smoker?
• Are you very thin with low muscle mass?
• Do you lead a sedentary lifestyle?
• Is your diet lacking in calcium and other bone-healthy nutrients?
• Have you lost more than an inch of height?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, or if you are concerned about maintaining strong bones and increasing bone density, Fitness Incentive’s Strong & Healthy Bones Program has been created with you in mind.

Poor nutrition during childhood contributes to weak bones in adults. 1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men will experience an Osteoporosis-related bone fracture in their lifetime. 20% of those with Osteoporosis are men, and 33% of those with low bone mass are men. 50% of all women over the age of 45 are affected with weak bones. Menopause, age, certain medications, thyroid problems and certain arthritis are contributing factors.

The benefits of the Strong Bones Program include:
• Improved core strength and posture through spine stabilizing exercises
• Increased bone strength through the modification of existing exercise routines
• The maintenance of bone density through the use of weight bearing aerobic and resistance exercises shown to prevent bone loss
• The reduction of risks of falls and fractures through exercises that improve balance, flexibility and mobility
